From October 11th to 14th, the 90th Anniversary Celebration and 2024 Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering were successfully held in Beijing. Sifang Automation, as a co-organizer of the conference, participated and made presentations at both the Academician and Expert Forum and the Women Engineers Forum.


With the accelerated advancement of global energy transformation, the construction of a new energy system and the establishment of a new power system have emerged as significant strategic directions for the development of China's energy industry. Over the past three decades since its establishment, Sifang Automation has consistently adhered to the philosophy of "technology leadership and innovative development". The company has continuously conducted innovative research on new power system technologies related to generation, grid, load, and storage, contributing its strength and wisdom to the construction of new power systems.


At the Academician Forum, Liu Zhichao, President of Sifang Automation, introduced the company's innovative research achievements in the field of power grid technology, particularly focusing on grid-forming technology and equipment research. Addressing two key issues of "research on the adaptability of grid-forming equipment and relay protection" and "how to utilize grid-forming SVG to achieve wide-frequency oscillation suppression", Liu presented Sifang's viewpoints and solutions. Sifang designs from a system perspective, using systematic thinking and technology to drive innovative development in equipment technology. Based on comprehensive technical and theoretical research, the company has launched a series of equipment tailored to new scenarios and problems in new power systems, including grid-forming energy storage devices and grid-forming SVG products, to better serve the safe and stable operation of new power systems.


At the Women Engineers Forum, Qin Hongxia, Vice President and Chief Engineer of Sifang Automation, shared the company's important practices in the construction of new power systems. In the integration of generation, grid, load, and storage, Sifang's integrated control system has been successfully applied to Xinjiang's first integrated generation, grid, load, and storage project. Additionally, in the efficient utilization of renewable energy and hydrogen energy, Sifang has participated in multiple hydrogen production-related projects. Among various practices related to new power systems, Sifang's innovative products and solutions provide efficient responses and effectively address system challenges, offering valuable references for subsequent new power system projects.


In the exhibition area held concurrently with the annual conference, Sifang Automation presented key product technology demonstrations for new power system construction, including static synchronous condensers, new relay protection technologies adapted to new power systems, digital twin systems, stability control systems, grid-forming energy storage, and PEN-12 deeply integrated smart ring main units.
